Basically, waves of monsters march from point A to point B and you've got to build towers along the path so the monsters do not reach point B.and if they do, you lose lives. You also gain money to upgrade and buy more towers with each kill. There are different types of towers (fire, ice, poison etc) and they can usually be upgraded. Some variants let you buy heroes that can cast spells and gain experience. If you've ever enjoyed an RTS game but have never played tower defense, you're missing out on a lot of fun. My favorite variant of tower defense is Burbenog.

It's certainly not the best map, but one of my favourites nonetheless:. I like the Pig spending/building aspect - occupy more pigstys to build more towers, or send them to the well to gain money?
