The PhaseCam ® 4020 is a compact and lightweight Twyman Green interferometer, with simple, manual controls for testing focal optical systems such as large concave telescope mirrors and lens systems, and for multi-segment mirror alignment. It can also be used to test smaller afocal components such as flat mirrors and collimators. A stabilized HeNe laser (632.8 nm) provides excellent stability, while the high speed, 1K x 1K phase sensor makes it is easy to measure moving components, even in challenging environments. Numerous Twyman Green interferometer accessories and options are available including different operating wavelengths and a 4 mega-pixel phase sensor. 4D's patented wavefront sensors enable vibration insensitive Dynamic Interferometry. 4D Technology dynamic laser interferometers use proprietary, high speed, high resolution wavefront sensors to measure the shape of optical surfaces with extreme accuracy despite vibration and environmental noise. In a conventional phase-shifting laser interferometer, multiple frames of data are acquired over many milliseconds—enough time for vibration and turbulence to degrade the measurement results. In a dynamic interferometer, all phase data is acquired simultaneously, in as little as thirty microseconds.
This speed enables 4D dynamic interferometers to measure in noisy environments, despite vibration solation or air turbulence. Dynamic interferometry® enables complex tests between multiple unisolated tables, measurements in environmental chambers, and measurements with long stand-off distances. Odd shapes, pupil obscurations, poor signal contrast, moving parts, air turbulence and mechanical vibration are not problems. Special wavefront sensors have also been developed for wavelength insensitivity, higher spatial resolution, and applications within tight space restrictions. 4D Technology’s products are rigorously tested to ensure years of quality service. All 4D products are warranted for one year against defects in material and workmanship. The 4D warranty covers parts and labor, including field service if applicable.
At the time of system purchase, for added protection you can choose to extend the basic warranty for up to 3 additional years. Alternately, one of three tiers of Service Contracts can be selected to supplement the original warranty, extend the period of coverage and provide additional support.
These Service Contracts are available at a range of pricing and can be purchased at any time up to five years after factory shipment. The Platinum Contract offers the highest level of benefits including preventive maintenance and calibration.
System and method for optical imaging with vertical cavity surface emitting lasers Abstract The present invention uses vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs) as illumination source for simultaneous imaging of blood flow and tissue oxygenation dynamics in vivo, or a means to monitor neural activity in brain slices ex vivo. The speckle pattern on the brain tissue due to a VCSEL's coherence properties is the main challenge to producing low-noise high-brightness illumination, required for evaluating tissue oxygenation. Moreover, using oxide-confined VCSELs we show a fast switching from a single-mode operation scheme to a special multi-modal, multi-wavelength rapid sweep scheme. The multi-modal, multi-wavelength rapid sweep scheme reduces noise values to within a factor of 40% compared to non-coherent LED illumination, enabling high-brightness VCSELs to act as efficient miniature light sources for various brain imaging modalities and other imaging applications. These VCSELs are promising for long-term portable continuous monitoring of brain dynamics in freely moving animals.
